CONCEPT

Heavily inspired by the cycle of water, this project's spatial planning, symbolism, and user experience all relates back to this concept. â€‹

Evaporate:

Envisioning every user as a singular water particle, they are transformed once they enter the space, going through the process of evaporation to become the singular water particles that roam around the space freely.

Condense:

Gathering at the communal spaces just like how water particles condense together.

Precipitate:

Also known as rain, all the users rush to the main area or main event of the space, just like how the water particles all fall down collectively.

DESIGN LANGUAGE

Taking strong influence from the building's architecture, prominent features include repetitive squares and rectangles. Using these shapes, an L-shaped form was created to be the guiding form in the building's spaces. As water takes no shape and has no guide, these forms guide the water - just like how the building is guiding users to a healthier and more active lifestyle.

integrated into project

Sectional cut showing the water cycle concept.

Custom made privacy screens seen in the project were designed with the design language in mind.

The squares, rectangles, and L-shaped forms are decorated on the screens. A simple illustration simulates water passing through the design, guiding the water.

The essence of aqua resonates across the project, at every corner, in many ways.
